The pre-cast composite floor system produced by AERIAL PRECAST CONCRETE LLC is outstanding in terms of strength, durability, speed of installation, as well as cost.
Produced at our facility, Aerial TM floor units are fabricated in widths of up to 8 feet and lengths of up to 40 feet, are typically composed of 17" deep steel bar joists embedded into 3" concrete panels (depth of joist may vary), at 3000 psi and poured around embedded 6/6, i.e. 6"X 6" welded wire mesh, into slightly cambered molds. They are then transported to the site and placed at 3 ½" on top of the tie, bond or steel beams of the structure, precisely adjusted and welded together at the ends. The remaining joints are then grouted.
The system is comprised of double structural angles acting in tension with reinforcing bars used for diagonal web members acting in shear, all welded together and embedded with a longitudinal member into a reinforced concrete slab designed to meet compressive forces from negative moments. All materials meet and exceed standards and specifications for local and national codes.
The floors can be easily installed on steel and concrete structures and are designed to provide for precise adjustment and fine-tuning. As well, the steel trusses furnished by AERIAL PRECAST CONCRETE LLC provide ample space for the easy installation of ventilation ducts and electrical and plumbing lines. The depth selected in the design can conform to what is required by the designer to facilitate duct installation, as well as ceiling attachments, while openings in any slab can be pre-cast at the factory.
